ESTABLISHING AN HAWAIIAN CULTURAL RESTORATION FUND (EAR-55)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. County Communication 16-83, from the Council Vice-Chair Don S. Guzman, transmitting a proposed bill to establish a fund for the deposit of all proceeds from parking concessions located on County property in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii.
2. Correspondence dated November 21, 2016, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, transmitting a revised proposed bill, entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH THE HAWAIIAN CULTURAL RESTORATION REVOLVING FUND.” The purpose of the revised proposed bill is to establish a fund for the deposit of all proceeds from the parking concession located on property under the control and management of the County on area identified as tax map key (2) 4-6-007:036 in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bill on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 16-83 and other related action.
