AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2017 BUDGET: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS (2154 KAOHU STREET BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS, WAILUKU) (BF-119)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. County Communication 16-230, from the Budget Director, transmitting the following:
a. A proposed bill to amend the Fiscal Year 2017 Budget by adding an appropriation of $185,000 for building renovations at 2154 Kaohu Street, Wailuku, Hawaii.
b. A proposed bill to amend the Fiscal Year 2017 Budget, Appendix C, Capital Improvement Projects, by adding $185,000 under the Department of Public Works, Wailuku-Kahului Community Plan Area, for 2154 Kaohu Street Building Improvements and a description of the project.
c. A Certification of Additional Revenues for Fiscal Year 2017, dated September 30, 2016, for $185,000 in Carryover/Savings from the General Fund.
2. Correspondence dated November 17, 2016, from the Budget Director, transmitting the following:
a. A revised proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2017 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO ESTIMATED REVENUES; DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, WAILUKU -KAHULUI COMMUNITY PLAN AREA, GOVERNMENT FACILITIES, 2154 KAOHU STREET BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS; TOTAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT APPROPRIATIONS; AND TOTAL APPROPRIATIONS (OPERATING AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS).” The purpose of the revised proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2017 Budget by (1) increasing Carryover/Savings from the General Fund by $50,000; and (2) adding an appropriation of $50,000 under the Department of Public Works, Wailuku -Kahului Community Plan Area, Government Facilities, General Fund, for 2154 Kaohu Street Building Improvements.
b. A revised proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2017 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO APPENDIX C - CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS, DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, WAILUKU-KAHULUI COMMUNITY PLAN AREA, 2154 KAOHU STREET BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS.” The purpose of the revised proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2017 Budget, Appendix C, Capital Improvement Projects, by adding: (1) an appropriation of $50,000 under the Department of Public Works, Wailuku-Kahului Community Plan Area, for 2154 Kaohu Street Building Improvements; and (2) a description of the project.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the revised proposed bills on first reading, with or without further revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 16-230 and other related action.
