USE OF COUNTY PROPERTIES IN THE HAIKU SUGAR EAST SUBDIVISION AT HAMAKUALOA  (EAR-67)

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     Miscellaneous Communication, dated September 6, 2016, from the County Clerk, relating to the use of County properties in the Haiku Sugar East Subdivision at Hamakualoa, Maui, Hawaii.

2.                     Correspondence dated October 12, 2016, from Committee Chair Don S. Guzman, relating to a proposal to establish a temporary investigative group to make findings and recommendations on: (a) a process by which a master plan for the County properties in the Haiku Sugar East Subdivision, Hamakualoa, Maui, Hawaii, may be developed; (b) identification and resolution of immediate issues, including signage, access, gates, and security; and (c) general identification of potential appropriate areas of use.  At its meeting of October 18, 2016, the Committee established the temporary investigative group.

3.                     Correspondence dated November 29, 2016, from Temporary Investigative Group Chair Don Guzman, transmitting the findings and recommendation of the temporary investigative group.

 

Status

The Committee may discuss the findings and recommendations of the temporary investigative group.  The Committee may also consider the filing of the Miscellaneous Communication and other related action.
