COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (“CDBG”) PROGRAM (PROGRAM YEAR 2017/FISCAL YEAR 2018: JULY 1, 2017 TO JUNE 30, 2018) (BF-2(1))
Description
The Committee is in receipt of:
1. County Communication 17-72, from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Manager, transmitting a proposed resolution entitled “AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FOR A GRANT UNDER THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM.” The purpose of the proposed resolution is to authorize the Mayor to execute and file an application with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for a grant of $1,731,191 for the CDBG Program Year 2017/Fiscal Year 2018, which is the period from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.
2. Correspondence dated February 7, 2017, from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Manager, transmitting the Recommended 2017 CDBG Project Executive Summary for Program Year 2017/Fiscal Year 2018.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of the proposed resolution, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 17-72 and other related action.
