AMENDMENTS TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2017 BUDGET TO AUTHORIZE TRANSFERS RELATING TO CATEGORIES OF USE BUT WITHIN A PROGRAM OR DEPARTMENT (DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND PUBLIC SAFETY)  (BF-121(9))

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of correspondence, dated April 26, 2017, from the Budget Director, transmitting a proposed resolution entitled “AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF AN UNENCUMBERED APPROPRIATION BALANCE WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND PUBLIC SAFETY, FISCAL YEAR 2017 BUDGET.”  The purpose of the proposed resolution is to amend the Fiscal Year 2017 Budget within the Department of Fire and Public Safety by transferring $3,849 from the Administration/Maintenance Program, Category C (Equipment); $74,000 from the Training Program, Category A (Salaries); $4,000 from the Training Program, Category B (Operations); $4,312 from the Training Program, Category C (Equipment); $624 from the Fire/Rescue Operations Program, Category C (Equipment); $119,000 from the Fire Prevention Program, Category A (Salaries); $295 from the Fire Prevention Program, Category C (Equipment); and $230,000 from the Ocean Safety Program, Category B (Operations), to the Fire/Rescue Operations Program, Category A (Salaries) for a projected shortfall of $436,080 in salaries, premium pay, or reallocation pay.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of the proposed resolution, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of the correspondence and other related action.
