AMENDMENTS TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2017 BUDGET TO AUTHORIZE TRANSFERS RELATING TO CATEGORIES OF USE BUT WITHIN A PROGRAM OR DEPARTMENT (DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE, COUNTYWIDE COSTS) (BF-121(11))
Description
The Committee is in receipt of correspondence dated May 25, 2017, from the Budget Director, transmitting a proposed resolution entitled “AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF AN UNENCUMBERED APPROPRIATION BALANCE WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE, FISCAL YEAR 2017 BUDGET.” The purpose of the proposed resolution is to amend the Fiscal Year 2017 Budget within the Department of Finance, Countywide Costs, by transferring $400,000 from Insurance Programs and Self Insurance, Category B (Operations) to Fringe Benefits, Category B (Operations) for a projected budgetary shortfall because of less Fringe Benefit Reimbursements from Special Funds.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of the proposed resolution, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of the correspondence and other related action.
