Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. County Communication 17-370, from Councilmember Alika Atay, relating to the Consent Decree in The Coalition to Protect East Maui Water Resources, et al. v. The Board of Water Supply, County of Maui, et al., Civil 03-1-0008(3).
2. A copy of the Consent Decree filed on December 22, 2003, in The Coalition to Protect East Maui Water Resources, et al. v. The Board of Water Supply, County of Maui, et al., Civil 03-1-0008(3), which was also referred by the Council at its meeting of September 8, 2017.
Status
The Committee may discuss operational issues relating to the Consent Decree, the status of the Consent Decree, and related issues. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 17-370 and other related action.

With reference to this agenda item, one or more executive meetings are anticipated pursuant to Section 92-5(a)(4), Hawaii Revised Statutes, to consult with legal counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities of the County, the Council, and the Committee.
