AMENDING FISCAL YEAR 2018 BUDGET: HAWAIIAN CULTURAL RESTORATION REVOLVING FUND (BF-70)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of a County Communication 17-285, from the Budget Director, transmitting a proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING APPENDIX A OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2018 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO PART II, SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUES - SCHEDULE OF REVOLVING/SPECIAL FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2018, HAWAIIAN CULTURAL RESTORATION REVOLVING FUND.” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend Appendix A, Part II, Special Purpose Revenues - Schedule of Revolving/Special Funds of the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget by adding a new revolving fund entitled “Hawaiian Cultural Restoration Revolving Fund (Chapter 3.38, Maui County Code)” and anticipated revenues of $180,000 for Fiscal Year 2018. The fund will be used for the preservation and restoration of historic and cultural sites and artifacts relating to Moku`ula and the ponds at Mokuhinia.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bill on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 17-285 and other related action.
