AMENDING FISCAL YEAR 2018 BUDGET: WAIPUILANI PARK IRRIGATION SYSTEM (BF-97)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of County Communication 17-413, from the Budget Director, transmitting the following:
1. A proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2018 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO ESTIMATED REVENUES; DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION, KIHEI-MAKENA COMMUNITY PLAN AREA, PARKS AND RECREATION, WAIPUILANI PARK IRRIGATION SYSTEM; TOTAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT APPROPRIATIONS; AND TOTAL APPROPRIATIONS (OPERATING AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS).” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget by 1) increasing Carryover/Savings from the General Fund by $81,137; 2) adding an appropriation of $81,137 under the Department of Parks and Recreation, Kihei-Makena Community Plan Area, Parks and Recreation, General Fund, for the Waipuilani Park Irrigation System project; and 3) adjusting the totals accordingly.
2. A proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2018 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO APPENDIX C - CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS, DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION, KIHEI-MAKENA COMMUNITY PLAN AREA, WAIPUILANI PARK IRRIGATION SYSTEM.” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget Appendix C, Capital Improvement Projects, by adding Waipuilani Park Irrigation System and project description under the Department of Parks and Recreation, Kihei-Makena Community Plan Area.
3. A Certification of Additional Revenues for Fiscal Year 2018 Budget, dated September 29, 2017, for $81,137 in Carryover/Savings from the General Fund.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bills on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 17-413 and other related action.
