DONATION OF 183 PAIRS OF OLUKAI FOOTWEAR TO THE OCEAN SAFETY PROGRAM OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND PUBLIC SAFETY (PEA-51)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. County Communication 17-450, from the Fire Chief, transmitting a proposed resolution authorizing acceptance of 183 donated pairs of Olukai footwear, valued at $15,738, from the Hawaiian Lifeguard Association, to provide protective footwear for all County ocean safety officers employed in the lifeguard division.
2. Correspondence dated December 5, 2017, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, transmitting a revised proposed resolution entitled “AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF THE DONATION OF 183 PAIRS OF OLUKAI FOOTWEAR TO THE OCEAN SAFETY PROGRAM OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND PUBLIC SAFETY, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 3.56, MAUI COUNTY CODE.” The purpose of the revised proposed resolution is to authorize acceptance of 183 donated pairs of Olukai footwear, valued at $15,738, from the Hawaiian Lifeguard Association, to provide protective footwear for all County ocean safety officers employed in the lifeguard division.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of the revised proposed resolution, with or without further revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 17-450 and other related action.
