AMENDING FISCAL YEAR 2018 BUDGET: SOUTH MAUI AND CENTRAL MAUI DRAINLINE REPAIRS (WAILEA ALANUI DRIVE DRAINLINE REPAIR) (BF-100)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. County Communication 17-415, from the Budget Director, transmitting the following:
a. A proposed bill to amend the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget for the Department of Public Works by 1) adding an appropriation for South Maui Drainline Repairs; and 2) increasing the appropriation for Central Maui Drainline Repairs.
b. A proposed bill to amend the Fiscal Year 2018 general obligation bond authorization for the Department of Public Works by 1) adding an appropriation for South Maui Drainline Repairs; and 2) increasing the appropriation for Central Maui Drainline Repairs.
c. A proposed bill to amend the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget, Appendix C, Capital Improvement Projects for the Department of Public Works by 1) adding an appropriation for the South Maui Drainline Repairs and a project description; and 2) increasing the appropriation for Central Maui Drainline Repairs.
2. Correspondence dated October 25, 2017, from the Budget Director, transmitting the following:
a. A revised proposed bill entitled "A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2018 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO ESTIMATED REVENUES; DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS, KIHEI-MAKENA COMMUNITY PLAN AREA, DRAINAGE, SOUTH MAUI DRAINLINE REPAIRS, TOTAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT APPROPRIATIONS; AND TOTAL APPROPRIATIONS (OPERATING AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS)." The purpose of the revised proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget by 1) increasing Estimated Revenues from the Bond Fund by $450,000; 2) amending section 4.J.3.b, by adding an appropriation of $450,000 under the Department of Public Works, Kihei-Makena Community Plan Area, Drainage, Bond Fund, for South Maui Drainline Repairs; and 3) adjusting the totals accordingly.
