AMENDMENTS TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2018 BUDGET TO AUTHORIZE TRANSFERS RELATING TO CATEGORIES OF USE WITHIN A PROGRAM OR DEPARTMENT (DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND PUBLIC SAFETY) (BF-62(5))
Description
The Committee is in receipt of correspondence dated January 18, 2018, from the Budget Director, transmitting a proposed resolution entitled “AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF AN UNENCUMBERED APPROPRIATION BALANCE WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND PUBLIC SAFETY, FISCAL YEAR 2018 BUDGET.” The purpose of the proposed resolution is to amend the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget within the Department of Fire and Public Safety by transferring $40,480 from the Training Program, Category B (Operations) to Category C (Equipment) for uniforms for the next firefighter recruit class; and $12,200 from the Fire/Rescue Operations Program, Category B (Operations) to Category C (Equipment), for helicopter rescue nets and rescue saws.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of the proposed resolution, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of the correspondence and other related action.
