AMENDMENTS TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2018 BUDGET TO AUTHORIZE TRANSFERS RELATING TO CATEGORIES OF USE WITHIN A PROGRAM OR DEPARTMENT (DEPARTMENT OF POLICE) (BF-62(10))
Description
The Committee is in receipt of correspondence dated May 7, 2018, from the Budget Director, transmitting a proposed resolution entitled “AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF AN UNENCUMBERED APPROPRIATION BALANCE WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE, FISCAL YEAR 2018 BUDGET.” The purpose of the proposed resolution is to amend the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget within the Department of Police by transferring $150,000 from the Technical and Support Services, Category A (Salaries) to the Investigate Services Program, Category B (Operations) to cover additional Autopsies/Investigations expenses; $400,000 from the Technical and Support Services Program, Category A (Salaries) to Category B (Operations) to repair or replace drain pipes at the Wailuku Police Station; and $21,000 from the Investigative Services Program, Category A (Salaries) to the Uniformed Patrol Services Program, Category C (Equipment) for additional cost of vehicles because of higher bid amounts.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of the proposed resolution, with or without further revisions. The Committee may also consider other related action.
