FISCAL YEAR 2019 BUDGET, APPENDIX B, RATES AND FEES, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION FACILITIES (BF-158)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. County Communication 18-248, from Councilmember Riki Hokama, relating to Appendix B, Rates and Fees, Department of Parks and Recreation facilities.
2. Correspondence dated July 2, 2018, from the Mayor, informing the Council that the Department of Parks and Recreation is unable to implement the changes to the fees by permit for use of the county facilities and equipment adopted by the County Council for Fiscal Year 2019.
3. Correspondence dated July 2, 2018, from the Mayor, transmitting a proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2019 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO APPENDIX B, REVENUES - FEES, RATES, ASSESSMENTS AND TAXES, DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION, GENERAL FUND, CHARGES FOR CURRENT SERVICES, SCHEDULE OF FEES AND DEPOSITS.” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2019 Budget, Appendix B, Revenues - Fees, General Fund, Charges for Current Services, Schedule of Fees and Deposits by amending the fees for use of park facilities and equipment by 25 percent over Fiscal Year 2018 fees.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bill on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 18-248 and other related action.
