AMENDING CHAPTER 12.24A, MAUI COUNTY CODE, RELATING TO EXCEPTIONAL TREES  (PRL-43)

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     County Communication 18-319, from the Director of Parks and Recreation, transmitting a proposed bill to add recommended trees located throughout the County of Maui to the list of exceptional trees.

2.                     Correspondence dated September 21, 2018, from the Director of Parks and Recreation, transmitting the information required by Section 12.24A.055(B)(2), Maui County Code, for each of the trees the Maui County Arborist Committee recommended for inclusion in the list of exceptional trees.

3.                     Correspondence dated October 1, 2018, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, transmitting a revised proposed bill, entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12.24A, MAUI COUNTY CODE, RELATING TO EXCEPTIONAL TREES,” incorporating nonsubstantive revisions.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the revised proposed bill on first reading, with or without further revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 18-319 and other related action.
