AMENDMENTS TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2019 BUDGET TO AUTHORIZE TRANSFERS RELATING TO CATEGORIES OF USE THAT ARE WITHIN A PROGRAM OR DEPARTMENT (DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND HUMAN CONCERNS) (BF-156(1))
Description
The Committee is in receipt of a correspondence, dated September 27, 2018, from the Budget Director, transmitting a proposed resolution entitled “AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF AN UNENCUMBERED APPROPRIATION BALANCE WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND HUMAN CONCERNS, FISCAL YEAR 2019 BUDGET.” The purpose of the proposed resolution is to amend the Fiscal Year 2019 Budget within the Department of Housing and Human Concerns by transferring $25,000 from the Housing Program Category A (Salaries) to Category B (Operations), for the purpose of relocating the entire Housing Division from its current location at 35 Lunalilo Street, Wailuku, to the Wailuku Business Plaza at 2065 Main Street, Wailuku, because of mold issues at the current location. The funds will be used for moving all office equipment, furniture and files, and minor renovations to the new office space.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of the proposed resolution, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider filing of the correspondence and other related action.
