Description
The Committee is in receipt of correspondence dated and received on October 19, 2018, from the Mayor, transmitting a proposed resolution entitled “RELATING TO THE APPOINTMENT OF JAMES JONES TO THE KULA AGRICULTURAL PARK COMMITTEE,” along with a completed application form for the nominee. The purpose of the proposed resolution is to approve or disapprove the nomination of James Jones to the Kula Agricultural Park Committee, for a term expiring on March 31, 2020, to fill a vacancy due to the resignation of Paul Otani. The vacancy shall be filled by a tenant of the Kula Agricultural Park, if reasonably possible, pursuant to Section 22.04A.070(A), Maui County Code.
Status
There is no time limitation for Council approval or disapproval of the nominee. The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of the proposed resolution, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider other related action.
