ESTABLISHING THE WEST MAUI COMMUNITY PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE (PEA-75)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. County Communication 18-134, from the Planning Director, requesting the Council initiate the West Maui Community Plan Advisory Committee selection process.
2. Correspondence dated August 30, 2018, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, transmitting a proposed resolution entitled "APPOINTMENTS TO THE WEST MAUI COMMUNITY PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE." The purpose of the proposed resolution is to approve or disapprove applicants for the nine Council-appointed positions on the West Maui Community Plan Advisory Committee. The Committee received timely applications for the positions from Joseph Aquino, Ravi Bugga, Yvette Joyce Celiz, Lee Allen Chamberlain, Karen J. Comcowich, Donald Robert Gerbig, Dawn Hegger-Nordblom, Paul I. Laub, Michele L. Lincoln, Rick Mejia Nava, Kai Nishiki, Dylan G. Payne, Joseph D. Pluta, Leilani Reyes Pulmano, and Leo Joseph Thiner-Brickey. The West Maui Community Plan Advisory Committee shall remain in existence until the enactment of an ordinance adopting the decennial revision to the West Maui Community Plan.
3. Correspondence dated September 5, 2018, from the Chair of the Committee, transmitting completed application forms for each of the applicants.
Status
The Committee may discuss the West Community Plan Advisory Committee selection process. The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of the proposed resolution, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 18-134 and other related action.
