AMENDMENTS TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2019 BUDGET TO AUTHORIZE TRANSFERS RELATING TO CATEGORIES OF USE THAT ARE WITHIN A PROGRAM OR DEPARTMENT (DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND PUBLIC SAFETY) (BF-156(3))
Description
The Committee is in receipt of correspondence dated November 1, 2018, from the Budget Director, transmitting a proposed resolution entitled “AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF AN UNENCUMBERED APPROPRIATION BALANCE WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE AND PUBLIC SAFETY, FISCAL YEAR 2019 BUDGET.” The purpose of the proposed resolution is to amend the Fiscal Year 2019 Budget within the Department of Fire and Public Safety by transferring funds from the Administration Program, Category B (Operations) to the following: Fire/Rescue Operations Program, Category B (Operations), $30,000; and Fire/Rescue Operations Program, Category C (Equipment), $220,000. The funds will be used for a compressed air bottle filling system for Molokai, nine self-contained breathing apparatuses, a self-contained breathing apparatus flow tester, relief engine fire-fighting equipment, and repairs to the Lahaina Station ladder truck.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of the proposed resolution, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of the correspondence and other related action.
