ORIENTATION WORKSHOP BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING (PSLU-1(1))
Description
Pursuant to Rule 7(B) of the Rules of the Council, the Committee intends to have an orientation workshop to be conducted by the Department of Planning. The workshop may cover such topics as the planning framework, Chapter 2.80B of the Maui County Code relating to the general plan and community plans, Title 19 of the Maui County Code relating to zoning, Chapter 343 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes relating to environmental impact statements, applicable standards of review for applications referred to the Planning and Sustainable Land Use Committee, and other issues germane to the processing and review of land use applications and amendments to Title 19 of the Maui County Code.
Status
The Committee may receive a presentation from the Department of Planning and discuss related issues. No legislative action will be taken.
