AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2019 BUDGET: OFFICE OF THE MAYOR (KAUPO COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION, INC.) (EDB-175)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of County Communication 18-349, from the Budget Director, transmitting the following:
1. A proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2019 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO ESTIMATED REVENUES; OFFICE OF THE MAYOR, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM; TOTAL OPERATING APPROPRIATIONS; AND TOTAL APPROPRIATIONS (OPERATING AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS).” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2019 Budget by 1) increasing Carryover/Savings from the General Fund by $475,000; 2) amending Section 3.B.9.c.(3), Office of the Mayor, Economic Development Program, Grants and disbursements for culture, arts, and tourism, by adding an appropriation for the Kaupo Community Association, Inc. under Category B (Operations) in the amount of $475,000 for the construction of infrastructure improvements at the old Kaupo School property; and 3) adjusting the totals accordingly.
2. A Certification of Additional Revenues for Fiscal Year 2019, dated September 28, 2018, for $475,000 in Carryover/Savings from the General Fund.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend the filing of County Communication 18-349 and other related action.
