Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. Correspondence dated May 13, 2019, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, requesting consideration of a proposed resolution to authorize settlement of Claim 30181069017-0001 of Farmers Insurance Hawaii, Inc., on behalf of its insured Marie Chester, and transmitting a copy of the claim dated September 25, 2018, and documents in support of the claim. The claim alleges damages to Marie Chester’s vehicle resulting from a collision involving a Maui County fleet vehicle on August 8, 2018.
2. Correspondence dated August 19, 2019, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, transmitting a revised proposed resolution entitled “AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF CLAIM NO. 30181069017-0001 OF FARMERS INSURANCE HAWAII, INC., ON BEHALF OF MARIE CHESTER.” The purpose of the revised proposed resolution is to authorize settlement of the claim for $8,001.99.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of the revised proposed resolution, with or without further revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of the correspondence and other related action.
