Description
The Committee is in receipt of a correspondence dated September 12, 2019, from the Budget Director, transmitting a proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2020 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO APPENDIX A, PART I, GRANTS AND RESTRICTED USE REVENUES - SCHEDULE OF GRANTS AND RESTRICTED USE REVENUES BY DEPARTMENTS AND PROGRAMS, DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND HUMAN CONCERNS (VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS).” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2020 Budget by adding a new grant appropriation under the Department of Housing and Human Concerns entitled “Voluntary Contributions” in the amount of $80,000, recognizing opportunities for seniors and family members to voluntarily contribute to the Office on Aging for services they receive.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bill on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of the correspondence and other related action.
