Title

AMENDMENT TO THE AUTHORIZATION FOR GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS (DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT - CML PHASE VB EXTENSION LEACHATE RECIRCULATION SYSTEM)  (EDB-68)

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     County Communication 20-52, from the Budget Director, transmitting a proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4985, BILL NO. 34 (2019), RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF THE COUNTY OF MAUI ISSUANCE, SALE AND DELIVERY OF SAID BONDS (DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT - CML PHASE VB EXTENSION LEACHATE RECIRCULATION SYSTEM).”  The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2020 general obligation bond authorization ordinance under the Department of Environmental Management, Wailuku-Kahului Community Plan Area, Sanitation, by adding the CML Phase VB Extension Leachate Recirculation System project in the amount of $650,000, for design and construction of infrastructure to expand the recirculation of leachate into the Phase VB Extension waste mass.

2.                     Correspondence dated January 31, 2020, from the Committee Chair, transmitting informational documents pertaining to the CML Phase VB Extension Leachate Recirculation System project.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bill on first reading, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider whether to recommend the filing of County Communication 20-52 and other related action.
