AMENDMENT TO THE AUTHORIZATION FOR GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS (DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT - CML EXTENSION OF PRIMARY LITTER SCREEN AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS) (EDB-69)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. County Communication 20-53, from the Budget Director, transmitting a proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4985, BILL NO. 34 (2019), RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF THE COUNTY OF MAUI ISSUANCE, SALE AND DELIVERY OF SAID BONDS (DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT - CML EXTENSION OF PRIMARY LITTER SCREEN AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS).” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2020 general obligation bond authorization ordinance under the Department of Environmental Management, Wailuku-Kahului Community Plan Area, Sanitation, by adding the CML Extension of Primary Litter Screen and Drainage Improvements project in the amount of $500,000, to design and construct an extension to the 50-foot high litter screens along the Pulehu Road property line to service the new Phase VB Extension disposal cell.
2. Correspondence dated January 31, 2020, from the Committee Chair, transmitting informational documents pertaining to the CML Extension of Primary Litter Screen and Drainage Improvements project.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bill on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider whether to recommend the filing of County Communication 20-53 and other related action.
