CLIMATE ACTION POLICIES BY GOVERNMENT AGENCIES  (CAR-1(2))

 

Description

In accordance with Rule 7(B) of the Rules of the Council, the Committee intends to receive a presentation and discuss matters relating to climate action policies pending and being taken by various government agencies.

 

Status

The Committee may receive presentations from Lylianna Allala, Climate Justice Director at the City of Seattle Office of Sustainability & Environment; Susie Strife, Director of the Boulder County Office of Sustainability, Climate Action & Resilience; Lara Cottingham, Chief of Staff & Chief Sustainability Officer at the City of Houston Administration & Regulatory Affairs Department; Representative from the Office of Sustainability, County of San Mateo; and Caitlin McCoy, Staff Attorney, Harvard Law School Environmental and Energy Law Program, and discuss climate action plans, policies, and initiatives by government agencies and other related matters.  The Committee may also hear from the Office of the Mayor.  No legislative action will be taken.
