AMENDING CHAPTER 1.16, MAUI COUNTY CODE, RELATING TO PUBLIC INSPECTION OF ADMINISTRATIVE RULES (GREAT-13)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of County Communication 20-389, from Council Vice-Chair Keani N.W. Rawlins-Fernandez, transmitting a proposed bill entitled “a bill for an ordinance amending chapter 1.16, maui county code, relating to public inspection of administrative rules.” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend Chapter 1.16, Maui County Code, to require that each agency: (1) review its administrative rules annually and no later than September 30 of each year; and (2) publish a copy of its administrative rules annually and no later than October 31 of each year, have its administrative rules available for public inspection and duplication at each of its office locations, and make a copy available on the County website.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bill on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 20-389 and other related action.
