REPEAL THE EXCLUSION FOR GRADING AND GRUBBING PERMITS FOR TRENCHING FOR UNDERGROUND UTILITIES (APT-11)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of County Communication 21-137, from Councilmember Shane M. Sinenci, transmitting a proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL THE EXCLUSION FOR GRADING AND GRUBBING PERMITS FOR TRENCHING FOR UNDERGROUND UTILITIES.” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend Section 20.08.031, Maui County Code, to delete the exclusion for trenching for underground utilities when trenches are backfilled, and the surface restored to its pre-existing grade and ground cover.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bill on first reading, with or without further revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 21-137 and other related action.
