COMPREHENSIVE AFFORDABLE HOUSING PLAN:  RIGHT TO SHELTER  (AH-14(1))

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of correspondence from Committee Chair Gabe Johnson, dated August 27, 2021, to the Department of the Corporation Counsel, transmitting a proposed bill entitled “A bill for an ordinance amending TITLE 9, maui county code, TO ESTABLISH A FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT TO SHELTER.”  The purpose of the proposed bill is to establish a fundamental right to shelter for Maui County residents.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bill on first reading, with or without further revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of correspondence and other related action.
