AMENDMENTS TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022 (DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT (KAHULUI BEACH ROAD SEWER LINE UPGRADE)) (BFED-56(4))
Description
The Committee is in receipt of correspondence dated October 22, 2021, from the Budget Director, transmitting the following:
1. A proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2022 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO ESTIMATED REVENUES; DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT, WAILUKU-KAHULUI COMMUNITY PLAN AREA, SEWER, SEWER FUND, KAHULUI BEACH ROAD SEWER LINE UPGRADE; TOTAL CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT APPROPRIATIONS; TOTAL APPROPRIATIONS (OPERATING AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS).” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2022 Budget by 1) increasing Carryover/Savings revenue from the Sewer Fund in the amount of $250,000; 2) amending Section 4.A.4.c, Department of Environmental Management, Wailuku-Kahului Community Plan Area, Sewer, Sewer Fund, by adding a project entitled “Kahului Beach Road Sewer Line Upgrade” in the amount of $250,000; and 3) adjusting the totals accordingly.
2. A proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2022 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI AS IT PERTAINS TO APPENDIX C - CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS, DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT, KAHULUI BEACH ROAD SEWER LINE UPGRADE.” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2022 Budget, Appendix C, Capital Improvement Projects, by adding a project and project description under the Department of Environmental Management, Wailuku-Kahului Community Plan Area, for the Kahului Beach Road Sewer Line Upgrade in the amount of $250,000.
3. A Certification of Additional Revenues for Fiscal Year 2022, dated October 22, 2021, for $250,000 in Carryover/Savings from the Sewer Fund.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bills on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider whether to recommend the filing of the correspondence and other related action.
