ACCESS EASEMENTS FOR WAILELE RIDGE (NAPILI) (IT-79)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. County Communication 21-533, from Councilmember Yuki Lei K. Sugimura, relating to access easements for Wailele Ridge, Napili, Maui, Hawaii.
2. Correspondence dated December 23, 2021, from the Director of Public Works, transmitting a proposed resolution entitled “AUTHORIZING A GRANT OF EASEMENT FOR ACCESS AND UTILITY PURPOSES TO WAILELE RIDGE OF MAUI, LLC, AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF GRANTS OF EASEMENTS FOR ACCESS FROM WAILELE RIDGE OF MAUI, LLC AND MAUI LAND AND PINEAPPLE COMPANY, INC.” The purpose of the proposed resolution is to authorize the Mayor to grant an easement to Wailele Ridge over a portion of Hui Road “A” for the installation of drainage and roadway improvements and to accept easements from Wailele ridge to provide improved pedestrian and vehicular access from Honoapi‘ilani Highway to Hui Road “A” around and through the project site.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of the proposed resolution, with or without further revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of County Communication 21-533 and other related action.
