Description
The Committee is in receipt of County Communication 21-410, from Councilmember Tamara Paltin, transmitting a proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.25.020, MAUI COUNTY CODE, RELATING TO TIERED FEES FOR MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION.” The purpose of the proposed bill is to amend Section 3.25.020, Maui County Code, relating to tiered fees for motor vehicle registration to ensure adequate funds exist to maintain, repair, and expand road infrastructure.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the proposed bill on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider whether to recommend the filing of County Communication 21-410 and other related action.
