Description
The Committee is in receipt of Bill 124 (2022), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE HAWAII STATE FIRE CODE, WITH CERTAIN AMENDMENTS THERETO.” Bill 124’s purpose is to adopt the State Fire Code, which adopts, with modifications, the “NFPA 1, Fire Code, 2018 Edition,” as published and copyrighted by the National Fire Protection Association, as amended by the provisions set forth in the new chapter to tailor the Fire Code to the County’s needs.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of Bill 124 (2022) on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider whether to recommend the filing of Bill 124 (2022), and other related action.
