BILL 151 (2022), RELATING TO IMPLEMENTATION OF A PARKING AMBASSADOR PROGRAM  (IT-116)

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of Bill 151 (2022), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 10, MAUI COUNTY CODE, RELATING TO IMPLEMENTATION OF A PARKING AMBASSADOR PROGRAM TO ENFORCE COUNTY AND STATE PARKING RULES AND LAWS, A PAID PARKING SYSTEM, AND PERMIT PARKING ZONES.”  Bill 151’s purpose is to authorize a parking ambassador program to assist the Department of Transportation in enforcing County and State parking rules and laws, and implement a parking payment system through the establishment of paid parking zones and permit parking zones.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of Bill 151 (2022) on first reading, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider whether to recommend the filing of Bill 151 (2022), and other related action.
