Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. Bill 14 (2023), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A NEW CHAPTER 16.25, MAUI COUNTY CODE, RELATING TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE AND SUPPLEMENTAL PROVISIONS OF THE BUILDING CODE.” Bill 14’s purpose is to establish Chapter 16.25, Maui County Code, relating to administrative and supplemental provisions of the Building Code.
2. Bill 15 (2023), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 16.26B, MAUI COUNTY CODE, AND ESTABLISHING A NEW CHAPTER 16.26C, MAUI COUNTY CODE, RELATING TO THE BUILDING CODE.” Bill 15’s purpose is to repeal Chapter 16.26B, Maui County Code, establish Chapter 16.26C, Maui County Code, and incorporate the International Building Code, 2018 Edition, as copyrighted and published by the International Code Council, Incorporated.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of Bill 14 (2023) and Bill 15 (2023) on first reading, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider whether to recommend the filing of Bill 14 (2023), Bill 15 (2023), and other related action.
