LITIGATION MATTERS (RESOLUTION 23-86, RELATING TO SETTLEMENT AUTHORIZATION:  PEDRO ORTEGA; CLAIM 4072926) (PROPERTY DAMAGE) (GREAT-11(13))

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     Resolution 23-86, entitled “AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF CLAIM NO. 4072926 OF PEDRO ORTEGA.”  Resolution 23-86’s purpose is to authorize settlement of the claim, filed on October 15, 2021, in the amount of $43,952.29.  The claim alleges damages to the claimant’s property located at 2068 Kahekili Highway, Wailuku, Maui, Hawai‘i, resulting from a water main break.

2.                     Correspondence dated February 3, 2023, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, with a copy of the claim.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 23-86, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Resolution 23-86 and other related action.

 

Note
