LITIGATION MATTERS (RESOLUTION 22-211, RELATING TO SETTLEMENT AUTHORIZATION:  DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, STATE OF HAWAII V. DEPARTMENT OF WATER SUPPLY, COUNTY OF MAUI, DOCKET 2022-CW-EO-11)  (GREAT-11(27))

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     Resolution 22-211, entitled “AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, STATE OF HAWAII VS. DEPARTMENT OF WATER SUPPLY, COUNTY OF MAUI, DOCKET NO.: 2022-CW-EO-11.”  Resolution 22-211’s purpose is to authorize settlement of the claim, filed on March 15, 2022.  The claim alleges effluent violations at the County of Maui’s Department of Water Supply ʻĪao Surface Water Treatment Plant at Wailuku, Maui, Hawaiʻi, tax map key (2) 3-5-001:067.

2.                     Correspondence dated September 7, 2022, from the Department of the Corporation Counsel, with a Notice of Violation and Order.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 22-211, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider the filing of Resolution 22-211 and other related action.

 

Note
