Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. Bill 29 (2023), entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 19.96, MAUI COUNTY CODE, MODIFYING THE WAIKAPU COUNTRY TOWN DISTRICT CONTROLLING PLAN AND PERMITTING EDUCATIONAL USES IN THE RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT.” Bill 29’s purpose is to amend the Waikapu Country Town’s Controlling Plan to allow for educational uses in the residential district to accommodate the potential expanded school site in Waikapu Country Town.
2. Correspondence from the County Clerk dated April 18, 2023, transmitting correspondence from the Department of Planning dated March 14, 2023.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of Bill 29 (2023) on first reading with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of Bill 29 (2023), and other related action.
