Title

PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION NAMING AND RENAMING  (IT-73)

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1. County Communication 21-456, from Councilmember Yuki Lei K. Sugimura, relating to Public Works Commission Naming and Renaming.

2. Correspondence dated July 1, 2022, to the Department of the Corporation Counsel, transmitting a revised proposed bill entitled “A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12.40, MAUI COUNTY CODE, TO RENAME KULA COMMUNITY CENTER TO VON TEMPSKY COMMUNITY CENTER COMPLEX.”  The purpose of the proposed bill is to rename the Kula Community Center as the von Tempsky Community Center Complex.

 

Status

The Committee may consider whether to recommend passage of the revised proposed bill, with or without further revisions.  The Committee may also consider whether to recommend the filing of County Communication 21-456 and other related action.
