RESOLUTION 26-116, AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF WATER SYSTEM ASSETS FROM LAUNIUPOKO WATER CO., INC. AND OLOWALU WATER COMPANY, INC. (BFED-62)
Description
The Committee is in receipt of the following:
1. Resolution 26-116, entitled “AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF WATER SYSTEM ASSETS FROM LAUNIUPOKO WATER CO., INC. AND OLOWALU WATER COMPANY, INC., FOR UP TO $6,000,000, EXCLUSIVE OF CLOSING COSTS AND EXPENSES, UNDER SUBSECTION 3.44.015(C), MAUI COUNTY CODE.” Resolution 26-116’s purpose is to authorize the acquisition of water system assets with the associated easement rights from Launiupoko Water Co., Inc. and Olowalu Water Company, Inc., for up to $6,000,000, exclusive of closing costs and expenses.
2. Correspondence dated June 30, 2026, from the Deputy Director of Water Supply, transmitting appraisal reports, each dated June 24, 2026, for the water system assets owned by Launiupoko Water Co., Inc. and Olowalu Water Company, Inc., respectively.
Status
The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolution 26-116, with or without revisions. The Committee may also consider the filing of Resolution 26-116 and other related action.
