NOMINATIONS TO BOARDS, COMMITTEES, AND COMMISSIONS (RESOLUTIONS 23-132 AND 23-133, VARIOUS)  (GREAT-2(13))

 

Description

The Committee is in receipt of the following:

1.                     Resolution 23-132, entitled “APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO THE MAUI PLANNING COMMISSION FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI.”  Resolution 23-132’s purpose is to approve or disapprove the Mayor’s nominations of Andrea Kimiko Kealoha and Fawn Sherie Kukuanaokala Helekahi-Burns to the Maui Planning Commission for terms expiring March 31, 2028.

2.                     Resolution 23-133, entitled “APPOINTMENT OF A MEMBER TO THE SALARY COMMISSION FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI.”  Resolution 23-133’s purpose is to approve or disapprove the Mayor’s nomination of Lois Prey to the Salary Commission for a term expiring March 31, 2028.

3.                     Correspondence dated 04/19/2023, and received on 04/20/2023, from the Mayor, transmitting completed application forms for the nominees.

 

Status

The Council must approve or disapprove the nominations by June 19, 2023, or the nominations will be deemed approved.  The Committee may consider whether to recommend adoption of Resolutions 23-132 and 23-133, with or without revisions.  The Committee may also consider filing Resolutions 23-132 and 23-133 and other related action.
